Looks like it will float to me! That's a pretty big project! Did you guys just whip it up or is it from GlenL plans or something? I know most cottagers don't wear a helmet in their fun boats... but you should stick one on for sure for your first few runs if not all of them! post up some pics the you get the decks and stuff on!

ya, im considering a helmet, were thinking we will get 80-90 mph out of it. We got the plans from some site, its suppose to be the X1 but we modified it a lot, ill put more pics up when it gets closer to completion.

I think you will prob tear the back of the boat off with a 90hp, it's just too heavy a motor. Also, sitting upright in the front of the boat like that will make it very hard to turn, hydroplanes use the weight of the driver leaning to the side to aid in turning and they are only designed to turn right.
