I was wondering if any Canadian boats were going to nationals? I wish I could go but as a student I can't afford it and I have to work. I'm looking forward to 2 years from now when I'll hopefully be in the workforce and be able to take my holidays to go, but until then I'll be working the summers away to finance school and racing. Let's not kid myself, I was happy to get a summer job with week-ends off so I can race with all of you great people.

As far as I know...
Ron France is leaving on the 26th. He'll be running AXSH, ASH, FAH
Mike Ounjian is heading out on the 29th I think.
Websters and Rossman teamed up and are heading out with a trailer full.
Dave Scott wants to go but was looking for a travel partner. Don't know if he found one or not.
Not sure about guys from the Sault, not far for them.
So low turn out this year from the Canuks I guess.
Good luck to all!

as of now i'm not sure i'm coming to long sault. i'm gonna try to make it but its gonna be a 6 hour trip so i'm not sure. thats the not so great thing about going to school in new hampshire. but i'm pretty sure i'll make the trip since dan neagele is coming with his 5 litre inboard, plus the fact that i love that course. i'll be at crystal lake and if whitney point is on then i'll be there too.

Dunno if it helps any...and don't have a map in my hand... but Jim Hagrel usually shows up, he's in the top half of Vermont... Great guy. Maybe you could get to his place and share driving/expenses? 6hrs... it was only a few years ago we had to drive at least 6 hrs to get to a race

Congrats to Bill and Mike Jr.
Does anyonr know how Ross Webster did? I talked to Dave Scott yesterday who said that Ross made it to the finals in both 20ssh and BMH but did not know how he did in the finals.
It's unfortunate about what happened to Brian Rossman at Nationals. He jumped the gun the first heat and then sheared a pin coming out of the pits in the second heat and while sitting dead in the water his boat was run over and he bailed ship. From what Dave said his boat only sustained deck damage and should be repaired soon.
