OK, I know most of you are thinking Norwood... but I wont make it there.
So when are you arriving at Waterford?
I hope to be there at 11am Friday.
I was there yesterday and they are excited to have us. Place is pretty much the same. All staff seemed very nice and helpful.
The owner of Proctor Marine and one of his sons, Tom, will be there Friday for some test rides. The father, forget his name is recently retired and left the running of the business to his sons. The father use to race hydro's 30 years ago. Tom runs the accessory part of the huge store they have and is very egar to try one out. He's thinks he would love to race.
I'm offering my ASH and ASR for them to try. Would anyone else have something maybe a little bigger they could try that would be setup by 4pm Friday?
Some of his other sons and himself will likely be back on Sunday. They are supplying a pontoon boat and driver for the whole weekend, plus paid for the J trophies for Saturday and Sunday.
This family is top notch and been helping us out lots this year. This could really grow into a great realationship if we treat them right too.

Pat & I will be at Waterford THU, late PM. The Armstrongs were there last year also, but not sure of this year. Should I contact some one to say I am there with a RV THU>MON? At the SWAP meet, some were talking of arriving after dark and the gate being closed. Can we work some thing out if I am there? How old is this 'son', Tom, and did he inherit his fathers genes, ie; would u lend him your car[bike ] to go for beer? What 'brand' is/was their dealership

Tom is maybe in his mid 30's?
The sell all domestic brands of motors. They have a huge business. One of the biggest off the water marine stores I've seen. I think they told me they have 150 boats in stock. Stuff from small aluminum to 30' big stuff.
Waterford... The gate is always open now. 24hrs a day. The exit side should always be swung open. The entrance side closes after 10 or so, but is alway unlocked for emergency. Just drive in the exit if you you are late or swing open the entrance. They said it's fine.
No worries about showing up Thursday, no need to call. Park as you did last year in the beach area is fine.
I'm not hesitant about letting them try my stuff. They all seem to be great, honest, trusting, smart people. Tom has raced go-karts so has some feel for small things going fast.

If you want to call, feel free, I met 3 of the 4 staff members and they were all very helpful and kind. Darrel is the name of the manager. I don't have the number handy but do a search for "Long Point Conservation Authority" and then try to find the Waterford lake section.

For anyone looking for items from Fralick Boats/Hydroplane Junkies... I'm bringing a limited supply of stuff. Rick is not going at this point in time an my car/trailer is packed to the roof. I'll be there Friday morning. Catch me early if you want something or let me know and it might not be too late to arrange to get it.
